After 3 weeks of fantasy football, you’re either feeling really good about your team or you are starting to panic. The good news is that decisions only get tougher as we enter the first BYE week of the season. No need to worry, my excellent advice is here to help you make the right decisions to get a win this week.

Well my Roethlisberger pick backfired last week as he left the game with an injury and is now out for multiple weeks. However, I would not advise starting Vick on a short week in his place. If you’re desperate, he might be worth a shot off waivers, but I’d rather go with a Derek Carr, Tyrod Taylor or the Red Rocket – Andy Dalton.

1. Aaron Rodgers @ SF
2. Carson Palmer vs StL
3. Matt Ryan vs Hou
4. Cam Newton @ TB
5. Andrew Luck vs Jax
6. Derek Carr @ Chi
7. Tyrod Taylor vs NYG
8. Peyton Manning vs Min
9. Andy Dalton vs KC
10. Russell Wilson vs Det
11. Philip Rivers vs Cle
12. Teddy Bridgewater @ Den
13. Blake Bortles @ Ind
14. Ryan Tannehill vs NYJ (in London)
15. Ryan Fitzpatrick @ Mia (in London)

In NBA Jams fashion, Latavius Murray is heating up after back to back weeks with a score and his first 100 yard game of the season, which is why he rounds out my top 5 for this week. Frank Gore should get a heavy dose of carries against Jacksonville as the Colts try to get back on track and put together a winning streak. Eddie Lacy and Marshawn Lynch may be a little dinged up, but they are still must starts nearly every single week.

1. Le’Veon Bell vs Bal
2. Adrian Peterson @ Den
3. Matt Forte vs Oak
4. Jamaal Charles @ Cin
5. Latavius Murray @ Chi
6. Frank Gore vs Jax
7. Eddie Lacy @ SF

Julio Jones is having himself a monster year, enough said. Even without Roethlisberger, A.B. is still a playmaker and will no doubt show up for the rivalry against the Ravens Thursday night. But on a short week and a backup QB, don’t get your hopes too high. A longtime elite WR but somehow forgotten, Larry Fitzgerald looks rejuvenated this year as he has adapted his roll and is playing more out of the slot this year, taking advantage of the matchups and situations with a strong rapport with Palmer.

1. Julio Jones vs Hou
2. Randall Cobb @ SF
3. Odell Beckham Jr @ Buf
4. AJ Green vs KC
5. Antonio Brown vs Bal
6. Amari Cooper @ Chi
7. Larry Fitzgerald vs StL

Greg Olsen finally showed what he is capable of last week with 3 TD catches as Cam’s go-to guy. He’ll have another good week against Tampa. Jimmy Graham has not been utilized well enough the first few weeks with the Seahawks and was vocal about his displeasure. Somebody heard him as he caught 7 balls for 83 yards and a score. I project similar stats this week against Detroit. While the rest of the Lions are struggling, Eric Ebron has consistently found ways to produce and like most TEs, will need a score to ensure his top 10 spot this week.

1. Greg Olsen @ TB
2. Travis Kelce @ Cin
3. Jason Witten @ NO
4. Tyler Eifert vs KC
5. Jimmy Graham vs Det
6. Eric Ebron @ Sea

I’m making an effort this week to pick players who may not be your #1 LB. Their matchups are favorable and they have been putting up some numbers while you may not have been paying attention. Jordan Hicks was the waiver wire pickup of the week. If he is still available, grab him now.

If you took my advice and snagged Jacquies Smith, you were very pleased with his 5 tackles. I actually missed out on waivers and made a trade for him – very happy how that panned out and look forward to more sacks from him this year. Watch out for Cliff Avril this week as he plays against his former team. It’s funny how well guys perform against their old teammates. I also think Jared Allen will benefit from a change of scenery and get back to playing his more natural position as a 4-3 DE. If you didn’t know, he was traded to Carolina for a 6th round pick. Let the Chicago firesale begin!

1. JJ Watt @ Atl
2. Jacquies Smith vs Car

4. Calais Campbell vs StL
5. Everson Griffen @ Den

11. Cliff Avril vs Det
12. Willie Gholston vs Car
13. Jared Allen @ TB
14. Henry Anderson vs Jax
15. DeMarcus Ware vs Min

The Honey Badger is back! I hope you started him as he was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week with 2 picks, one returned for a TD. He’s tough a tougher matchup this week which is why he’s not on my list, but he’s still a starter. On another note, Charles Woodson still has it! As one of the oldest players in the league at 38 and battling through a shoulder injury, he sealed a victory last week for the Raiders with a game winning interception as Cleveland was marching into the red zone. Chris Conte was never very good with Chicago, after 4 seasons he found a new home in Tampa and is on pace to set a career high in tackles.

1. Reshad Jones vs NYJ (in London)
2. David Bruton Jr vs Min
3. Calvin Pryor @ Mia (in London)
4. Malcolm Jenkins @ Was
5. Will Hill @ Pit
6. Charles Woodson @ Chi
7. Darian Stewart vs Min

9. Eric Weddle vs Cle
10. Chris Conte vs Car
11. Glover Quinn @ Sea
12. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix @ SF
13. Barry Church @ NO
14. Cam Chancellor vs Det
15. Quintin Demps @ Atl

Adam Jones and Josh Norman have continued to put up some of the best fantasy numbers for any CB this season. But sadly, my prediction of Marcus Peters continuing his stellar rookie performance came crashing down to earth as Aaron Rodgers avoided his side of the field and picked on everybody else en route to 5 scores.

1. Adam Jones vs KC
2. Byron Maxwell @ Was
3. Sam Shields @ SF
4. Jimmy Smith @ Pit
5. Josh Norman @ TB
6. Joe Haden @ SD
