We are back with the week 7 version of last minute starts. I do apologize for my absence the last couple weeks, had some real world things i had to get taken care of. Well enough about me off to the important things.
Matt Jones RB Washington Redskins
Now i know a lot of you especially in deeper dynasty leagues have been playing jones weekly hoping for a repeat performance of week 2. Well this may be the week, with Chris Thompson sidelined Jones will take over the 3rd down and pass catching role against a suspect Tampa Bay defense.
James White RB New England Patriots
It is tough to tell whom Belichick will use in his backfield on a weekly basis, even tougher when there is an injury. With Dion Lewis out this week expect Bill to use a variation of James White and Brandon Bolden. Take this advice with a grain of salt as there is a good chance he will focus on the opposite of who you decide to play, but i think White is the better player.
Ladarius Green TE San Diego Chargers
The Chargers are playing the Oakland “we don’t cover TE’s” Raiders, and Antonio Gates is dealing with a MCL sprain. We all know Green is an athletic freak at the TE spot, and i expect even if Gates does play that Green will see his fair share of targets. Overall it should be a heyday for the Chargers TE’s.
Nick Williams DL Kansas City Chiefs
Last week after Mike Devito left with a concussion and Nick Williams filled in admirably for the run stuffing DE. He collected 3 tackles in a relief appearance and will carry that over into this week’s game against the Landry Jones led Steelers whom will focus on the run more than ever.
When starting a CB in IDP leagues, I generally try to focus on the one who is going to get picked on more often. They have a better chance to rack up tackles, and more opportunities to deflect passes. Wilson will be playing in place of Perrish Cox against Matt Ryan and the falcons. Expect them to avoid McCourtney’s side of the field, and pick on Wilson for most of the game.
This play completely contradicts my previous statement, but you cannot ignore guys that are consistently making plays. In the last two games Breeland has 2 interceptions, 6 passes defended, and 1 forced fumble. You can’t ask for much more out of corner in fantasy football.
